People continually ask us when we’re at the farmers’ market whether we grow our own microgreens? Do we grow them at our house? Are they organic? Do I need to wash them? Do you just sell at the Birmingham Farmers’ Market? Here are some answers:

Looking for microgreens? Arugula, Basil, Broccoli, Cantaloupe, Cilantro, Kale, Mustard, Pea, Radish, Red Cabbage, Sunflower and Wasabi Mustard are some of the nutritious microgreens we’ll have at the Birmingham Farmers’ Market this Sunday, 9am-2pm. Microgreens have up to 40% more nutrients than their adult counterparts.

Aside from microgreens, we also grow flowers at Motor City Micro Farm on our two city lots and Kelly makes them into beautiful bouquets every Saturday for the Birmingham Farmers’ Market on Sunday. Our colorful bouquets are $15 a piece. Check them out next Sunday, 9am – 2pm.

At The Market

We’re back at the Birmingham Farmers’ Market again this Sunday, July 14, 9am – 2pm with lots of microgreens and mushrooms. We’ll have arugula, basil, broccoli, cantaloupe, cilantro, fennel, dill, leek, mustard, pea, parsley, our spicy radish mix trio, red cabbage and sunflower microgreens. We’ll also have our Asian, Garden, Hero, Italian, Rainbow and Spicy microgreen mixes. In the mushroom department, we’re bringing Lion’s Mane, Pioppino, Elm and Black Pearl mushrooms to the market.
