We’ll also have beautiful Lion’s Mane, Golden and Blue Oyster gourmet mushrooms. I’m picking sunflowers Saturday morning and will have them available Sunday also. Stop by, say hello and check us out. It’s Almost Sunday Market Time!
The week has gone by quickly and we’ll be back at the Birmingham Farmers’ Market again this Sunday, 9am-2pm. It’s going to be another hot one, so come early. We’ll have plenty of nutritious microgreens for you to use as sandwich toppings, in smoothies, as additions to your favorite salads, as salads themselves or just plain snacks. We’ve even had a customer tell us she puts our arugula microgreens on her pancakes! You can use them in so many ways.
We’ll also have 3 kinds of mushrooms for you: Golden Oyster mushrooms with a mild, sweet, nutty flavor, Chestnut mushrooms with a nutty, buttery flavor and Elm mushrooms with a meaty texture and mild flavor. All three have anti-inflammatory properties. Sorry, no Lion’s Mane this week (they don’t like all this hot weather).

Father’s Day At The Market
First off, Sunday is Father’s Day and we wish fathers everywhere a happy and wonderful day! It’s also the Strawberry Festival Day at Birmingham Farmers’ Market, but alas we won’t have any strawberry microgreens (if there is such a thing) for you. What we will have are plenty of nutricious and delicious microgreens along with Lion’s Mane, Golden and Blue Oyster mushrooms. We’re under the green tent next to the lemonade stand.
