The summer is just flying by. Once again, this Sunday, we’ll be back at the Birmingham Farmers Market, 9 am – 2 pm. We’ll have plenty of nutritious microgreens: Broccoli, Sunflower, Radish, Cantaloupe, Basil, Cilantro, Mustard, Pea, Wasabi, Leek, Arugula and Red Cabbage along with our Spicy, Asian, Rainbow, Hero, Italian and Garden Microgreen Mixes. We’ll also have gourmet mushrooms, Lion’s Mane, Black Pearl and King Blue Oysters for you. On top of that, Kelly will have a variety of fresh cut floral bouquets and freshly picked sunflowers to brighten up your day. Stop by, check us out and say hello.

The week has gone by quickly and we’ll be back at the Birmingham Farmers’ Market again this Sunday, 9am-2pm. It’s going to be another hot one, so come early. We’ll have plenty of nutritious microgreens for you to use as sandwich toppings, in smoothies, as additions to your favorite salads, as salads themselves or just plain snacks. We’ve even had a customer tell us she puts our arugula microgreens on her pancakes! You can use them in so many ways.
We’ll also have 3 kinds of mushrooms for you: Golden Oyster mushrooms with a mild, sweet, nutty flavor, Chestnut mushrooms with a nutty, buttery flavor and Elm mushrooms with a meaty texture and mild flavor. All three have anti-inflammatory properties. Sorry, no Lion’s Mane this week (they don’t like all this hot weather).
